A former advertising graphic designer, Jean-Luc Mare brings to life delicate luminaires inspired by Japanese aesthetics.

He creates unique luminaires by playing with light, shadow and transparency. Working with industrial papers, in particular Italian tracing paper, he highlights their apparent fragility and resistance. Each luminaire, shaped by hand, becomes a singular, poetic work of art.
