André Dechifre has been based in Sauve for many years. A member of the "Art Idiot" movement, he mainly sculpts his works in extruded polystyrene.

Born into a family of artists, André Dechifre spent most of his life in Toulon. He grew up in an artistic environment and went on to study at the Beaux-Arts in Toulon. He took an active part in the May 1968 movement and, following this unique experience, entered the shipbuilding industry, followed by locksmithing and metalworking.
