The Môle Tower at Sauve

The Môle Tower at Sauve

About

Mentioned in 1704 as the "Tour de l'Abbaye", it owes its current name to the Molle family, wealthy Protestant merchants who acquired it in the 16th century.

Probably the keep of the ancient Sauve abbey, it symbolized the abbot's seigniorial power.
