On September 20 and 21, 2025, come and discover the secrets behind the making of the Sauve hackberry fork.
The Conservatoire de la fourche is a place of living memory, where Sauve forks are still made using ancestral methods, from a single piece of hackberry wood. In the conservatory's historic premises, the old "Cazernes" built in 1759, where the original architecture, still very well preserved, bears the traces of several centuries of production. An invitation to travel back in time through its central gallery, its wall of images and information terminals, its workshop as well as a video immersion in the trade secrets of hackberry cultivation from seed to finished product.
